– Intrepid Denver Post reporter Scott Lieber had a run-in with “The Real World” Denver last night while snapping some photos outside the house. The crew was up to its old tricks, asserting they own the sidewalk (seriously), instigating events when all we did was observe, asking for names but not giving out their own.

– As if we didn’t know it already, the production team at “The Real World” are sick to ensure The Denver Post doesn’t report on the show. Last night, as I walked to my car after taking some photos, one of the crew members (later identified as executive producer Jim Johnston) accosted me on the sidewalk and — clever devil — started taking photos of me!

– Here’s a riddle: What begins with Double Daughters and ends with potential harassment charges? A Monday night in LoDo, natch.

– Last night my friend Geoff and I headed down to 16th and Market around 9:45 p.m. for a drink at one of our favorite spots, Double Daughters. “Real World” Denver cast member Colie was eating and filming scenes a few doors down at Sonoda’s with some unnamed dude. Production assistants warily lined the sidewalk in front of the couple, looking back and forth and blocking some of the numerous hecklers and gawkers…

– Another PrideFest has come and gone, this year drawing an estimated 200,000 people. Denver’s annual celebration of gay and lesbian culture commemorates the 1969 Stonewall riots, the start of the modern gay rights movement. Of course, members of “The Real World” Denver cast were out in force, flitting around Civic Center Park with their camera crew and production assistants. A look at what they did and how they acted says a bit about MTV’s approach to the locals.

– Gay cast member Davis was definitely there with a couple female cast members (Colie and Jenn, perhaps?) When some people tried to approach them they said they weren’t with “The Real World,” despite the camera crew. How real is that?
