Denver Myspace events

“The Real World” Denver’s Myspace profile (since taken down) may officially have nothing to do with MTV, but the network certainly hasn’t taken it down yet. The site announced that Don Vito, that creepy, frog-necked dude from MTV’s Viva La Bam, will come to the Denver Athletic Club and Tabu Ultra Lounge. The 21-and-up night is hosted by “The Real World” Denver Myspace site, but it doesn’t say whether any current cast members will be there.

– The night begins at at 7 p.m. with “Billiards & Booze” at The Denver Athletic Club Bar on the second floor. Don Vito will mug for photos while patrons play billiards, Snooker or poker for various prizes.

– Next Don Vito will referee a match of full court dodgeball between Avelon Entertainment models, dancers and cheerleaders, plus former professional and collegiate athletes. Apparently Don also plans to get in there and play a bit himself, although a quick glance at the guy’s photo implies it won’t be for long.

– At 10 p.m. they’ll head over to sleaze central, er, I mean The Diamond Cabaret and Tabu Ultra Lounge. $18 gets you in to hear Mr. Groove, a 95.7FM DJ. The event is hosted by Play Coed, J Fly Presents, Avelon Entertainment, Mile High Sports Magazine and others.

– “The Real World” Denver Myspace site also hosted an event with Efren Ramirez, a.k.a. Pedro from “Napoleon Dynamite,” on Saturday, June 10. He showed up at Invesco Field at Mile High during the day and Club Sky (over Jackson’s Sports Bar downtown) at night. Mike Downey, president of Play Coed Denver, wrote this in an e-mail newsletter:

“Last weekend Efren Ramirez, who played Pedro from ‘Napoleon Dynamite,’ partied at Invesco Field in the ESPN booth with Play Coed and The Denver Outlaws. He also gave out a lot of autographed Vote for Pedro shirts. The after party at Club Sky had over 300 people show up and Ramirez hosted a long DJ set and played his harmonica to the tune of ‘Golddigger’.”
