– Tips are coming in that “The Real World” Denver cast is trying to film some footage at the “Sleeper” house at I-70 and Deer Valley Road in Genesee. The iconic, 7,500 square foot landmark is so-named due to its prominence in the 1973 Woody Allen comedy of the same name, in which Allen plays a nerd revived 200 years in the future to fight an oppressive government. The house (and another rather futuristic-looking ’70s one in Boulder, The Brenton House at 3752 Wonderland Hill) are featured in the film, although interior shots were filmed, as they so often are, on a soundstage.
– We’re working to confirm with the current owner, Michael Dunahay, but has anyone else heard anything on this? Apparently an MTV producer made a trip up on June 3 for a dinner party but no deal has been cut as of yet.
