– It’s good to know the cast of “The Real World” Denver is staying in shape while they’re in town. Their jobs as guides for Outward Bound probably require it, but being healthy for-health’s-sake fits right in with our city’s active character.

– Several cast and crew were spotted by multiple readers at the Colorado Athletic Club earlier this week. We previously reported they would be playing dodgeball at the Denver Athletic Club (just a few blocks away) at some point over the summer, so fitness seems to be a priority between trips to the bars…

– Here’s a report from reader Laura:

“I work out at the Colorado Athletic Club Downtown (between 16th and 17th on Welton) and I see the cast members and the crew filming them working out there all the time. Today I saw a few of them working out with a personal trainer — two guys and a girl (I think it’s Brooke and Alex and Steve based on your pictures).”

–Another reader had a slightly more interactive experience, as the cast and crew walked in around 10 a.m. on Wednesday and set up at a couple treadmills, blocking anyone from using the aerobics machines within five feet of the cast:

“I finished my workout from a distance and watched as a rather plain-looking brunette (Brooke?) and an African-American guy (I think it was Steve?) walked on treadmills for 15 minutes. Yep, there I was, completing my daily 45-60 minutes of aerobics and weight machines, and they spent a total of 15 minutes walking and talking and being filmed. Quite a lot of trouble to go to just to have a brief conversation, but whatever.

They left before I was done and I figured they would not head for the locker rooms. (Who needs to shower or change clothes after a slightly brisk 15-minute walk?) Besides, cameras are expressly forbidden in the locker rooms. There are signs all over the place reminding members that usage of even camera phones is prohibited in all areas of the club.

So I was quite surprised when I entered the locker room and the brunette was standing / primping in one of the mirrors. I went to my locker and grabbed my things like I always do, but on leaving I could not resist asking her: ‘Did you enjoy your 15 minutes?’ She looked at me and seemed completely confused, so I elaborated. ‘On the treadmill.’”

– Our reader went on to point out that the other fifteen minutes of fame will happen later…
