The urban jungle of Six Flags Elitch Gardens.

– Faithful reader Kristen spotted what she thought was “Real World” Denver cast member Alex at Denver’s favorite (er, only) downtown amusement park, Six Flags Elitch Gardens, last Wednesday…

– She snapped a photo for us, but readers have since written in overwhelmingly that it wasn’t Alex, so we took it down. Kristen definitely saw the crew there so we thought we’d keep her post up:

She wrote: “I’m pretty sure at least two cast members from ‘The Real World’ Denver were there! I asked one of the camera/report ladies and she said they were filming a documentary… but i did get a picture of, what I believe, is one of the cast mates (maybe Alex) on the Mind Eraser!”

– For the crew to deny that they were with the show, then suggest it was some kind of documentary (well, they’d like to think so anyway), is pretty de rigueur. We’ve had several past reports of obvious “Real World” cast and crew telling people that they were not, in fact, part of with MTV and rather just doing a documentary.

– No doubt Six Flags would be thrilled by the potential exposure, since the company has been looking to sell several of its properties due to “tumbling attendance,” according to a June 23 Bloomberg News article. Apparently attendance is down about 13 percent, or 1.3 million people, so far this year compared with last year.

– Reality TV shows are known to get thousands of dollars per second in exchange for giving a logo, product or location any airtime, so we’ll try to find out if Six Flags paid them to show up. Check back here for updates.

“Real World” favorite Rock Bottom Brewery at 1001 16th St. in downtown Denver.

– We also got a tip from a Rock Bottom Brewery employee that the cast and crew showed up there Friday. It’s not surprising, since they’ve been spotted there several times before and it’s not too far from their house. Here’s her account:

“Two of the cast members came in…Jenn & the blonde gay one (not sure of the name) Jenn was with a man, with black hair and a mohawk / some tattoos…and they were sucking face in front of the other ‘Real World’ member off and on throughout dinner. Once while the camera was on them.

The crew pretty much stood around while they ate, taking up a huge space in the restaurant while we were slammed on a Friday night (clearly very annoying to almost all the employees). They actually tipped their waitress okay this time around, but the last few times weren’t so.”

– Hmmm… shocking that they would displace almost everything around them to film a few seconds of interstitial meal footage. Even more shocking, perhaps, is that they tipped well…
