Detoxifying “Real World” Denver cast member Ty may take longer than a couple days.

– A source close to “The Real World” Denver has confirmed that the cast member sent to detox a couple weeks ago was in fact Ty. The University of Nebraska attendee had a yelling match with a woman (possibly a his girlfriend) when the argument spilled out onto the street. It was then that at least one of MTV’s security crew (likely an off-duty uniformed cop) approached him and sent him to detox…

– We haven’t been able to find an arrest report for the incident, leading us to believe that he wasn’t technically arrested but rather just detained.

– More updates from the inside of the house, which we’ve written about before in various posts. Our person close to the show had this to say: “There’s a half-Jeep in the house that’s a bar and there’s also a ski lift chair hanging in the house, a big fish tank, real evergreen trees, mountain scene murals, swimming pool, hot tub, basketball court, etc.”

– The fish tank would explain the Tidy Tanks vehicle often parked outside, and some of the furnishings sound like holdovers from when the place used to be B-52s Billiards. Click here to find out more about the history of “The Real World” Denver house at 1920 Market St. in LoDo.

– The guy that cast member Brooke was spotted with on Saturday night is apparently a local she’s dating named Kyle, who works at an art museum in town.

– Another tipster tells us that the white stretch Hummer that one of our readers spotted in front of the house yesterday was because MTV was taping the “introduction” show for the Denver season.

– Some cast members’ parents have been reported as being in town recently. Brooke’s parents, Carolyn and Joe (both psychologists) visited not long ago, although it’s unclear whether they stayed in “The Real World” house (it’s likely they didn’t). Cast member Alex’s father also stopped by the same time Brooke’s folks were in town.

– Speaking of Alex, there are a few reports from our tipsters that he’s drunk more often than the other cast members (which is saying a lot) and that he “passes out frequently, though it’s inside the house & not seen by the general public.”

– Finally, an eagle-eyed Capitol Hill resident spotted some of the cast at Wild Oats recently, a place that we’ve more or less confirmed is sponsoring the show in some capacity (read the previous post here).

Angela writes: “Saw ‘The Real World’ kids at the Capitol Hill Wild Oats tonight (Wed., July 26). Apparently they shop there about once a week. Two girls were looking to buy 3 cups of bulk hummus mix and wanted to know if a scoop equaled a cup. No filming going on at the time.”
