– I’ve gotten dozens of e-mails from people claiming to be friends, relatives and ex’s of “Real World” Denver cast members over the past couple months, and 90 percent of those never make it onto the blog. After some digging these people usually turn out to be attention-hungry hoaxsters or people looking to badmouth the cast. But some recent messages and a bit of research points toward a potential plot point for the upcoming season…
– It started with a ShoutBox comment saying that Jenn’s ex-boyfriend Jason Lafrades would be visiting Denver around August 21st. Then someone calling herself Veronika S. posted the guy’s Myspace site and big, long message about how awesome he is:
“He seems like a real cool person and he is totally CUTE! Jason is a hottie and what I want to know is what Jenn is going to do when Jason gets to Denver. If Jenn is hooking up with castmate Alex and Jason arrives and comes to the house… will that start something between the two guys? Drama is on the rise and I can’t wait to see it on tv! Will Jenn and Jason get back together or will Jenn diss him for Alex? All I have to say to you Jenn is this… JASON ‘JAY LAFRAY’ LAFRADES IS A TOTAL HEARTHROB AND YOU SHOULD NOT LET A GUY LIKE THAT GO… SCREW ALEX…HE’S JUST TEMPORARY! JASON IS HOTTER ANYWAYS GIRL! That’s just what I think…”
– Yikes. Looks like someone’s a serious cheerleader for the guy. Lafrades’ Myspace site implies that “Jay Lafray” (as he likes to go by) at least knows Jenn, even if he isn’t her ex. The fact that he lives in California and attended Diablo Valley College (which Jenn was confirmed to have gone to) means this 25-year-old Pittsburgh native lives in the right area.
– We then received a couple comments from shadyjaylafray@aol.com, which would seem to be Lafrades’ e-mail address. “YES that is Jenn,” Lafrades wrote. “She is my ex and you can check out my myspace page and see her there. No joke. She’s been a Raiderette the past 3 years and is still a friend of mine. Be on the lookout for me in Denver next month! After reading some of your comments about her all I can say is..that’s just the way Jenn is… you should see her at the club… lol…”
– The obvious confrontation plotline that MTV would be cooking up between Jenn (who’s been dating a spiky-haired tattoed dude lately) and Lafrades is pretty average stuff for “The Real World.” Jenn has also been seen with a few other guys around town (kissing someone at a water park recently) so maybe it’s just a general boy-mayhem visit?
– The caveat here: If Lafrades were really coming to Denver for the show, he would have likely signed a pile of waivers and confidentiality agreements weeks ago, which would prevent him from e-mailing our blog or having any of his friends give us the heads-up about his “appearance.” That would seem to invalidate both Veronika and Lafrades’ comments, which almost read like an MTV pre-buzz press release.
– Then again, it’s possible MTV hasn’t gotten around to muzzling him yet, which is why he’s being nice enough to give us notice of his visit. A scroll through his Myspace page brings up a few profiles that have the potential of being Jenn (all of them private, of course). If you feel like doing a bit of your own research feel free to let us know what you find…
– Lafrades’ Myspace profile lists seven different colleges from California (a comment below pegs him as a party promoter). His blogs include such diverse topics as “Never let a guy hit you” and “F*ck Tonight… song I wrote.” There are also some pics of him as a Marine in Iraq in 2003 and dressed up as a penis (we’re really hoping it was for Halloween).

As a personal friend of Jason’s… YES, that is him. I spoke with him 2 days ago to give him a heads up for a party I’m throwing. He mentioned he was going to be in the Denver area but didn’t say when he was going or what it was for. Yes, he does know Jen and yes, she is his ex, in fact if you go to his myspace page and look in the area “view pics” you’ll find a picture of them at his house. I saw them at a club in Walnut Creek about a month to a month and a half ago. Jason is a big-time party promoter so therefore the colleges listed on his page are for networking reasons. I do know for a fact that he did go to Diablo Valley College. In reference to Veronica’s comments… Jason is popular with the ladies and comments like that are nothing new to him or the people that know him. Just look at the comments on his myspace page. Jason is an avid songwriter and posts a lot of his stuff on myspace. As far as “Never let a guy hit you”, it’s a blog for women that are physically abused by men and how against it he is. I’ve known Jason personally for years now… I remember going to a house party out in Concord that Jenn and Jay attended.. Those two were Inseparable… They were kissing, hugging and just into eachother all night long…
If you go into his Myspace page you will see a picture of them together… About a month or two ago I seen them at a club in Walnut Creek, CA together…What Club, I can’t remember…

haha..I remember Jason had mentioned his Jennifer being in Denver about 2 weeks ago so I decided to check her out, but I didn’t realize he was heading to Denver until his parents said he was going somewhere for a bit. They didn’t tell me where he was going ( I’m beginning to believe it’s Denver). It all came to me after I read this article. I haven’t seen Jason since. Must be really busy getting everything ready to go over there. If I see him I’m going to ask him where he’s going…hopefully he’ll tell me.

I can not believe anyone is questioning Jay.. He is the most honest and sincere person I know. I met him about 2 years ago through work and we hit it off and have been friends every since. Jay has been promising me he was going to come down to the LBC for a month now so we could hang out and party together… About a week ago he called me and said he was going to have to move that date out and he would stop here on his way back from Colorado. He mentioned he was going to Colorado to see his Ex-Girl Jen. Jay frequently talks about her and he has shown me pic’s of her aswell.

They definitley know eachother. I know Jay and met Jenn through my ex-boyfriend. I have been to many parties, bars, and clubs were I have seen Jay and Jenn together. As a matter of fact, I have gone to say hi to Jay at a party when he was talking to Jenn and she didn’t seem too happy that I gave him a hug and interrupted them. If they didn’t know eachother, how would he have all these pictures of the two of them together??

I’ve known Jay for a good six years now and I know for a fact he is goning to Denver for a while, because he told me he “might” be on the real world to visit his ex Jenn. I have a feeling it’s true! He is not a liar and I trust his every word. He is a very good friend and I remember him mentioning Jenn in the past, and seeing a couple of pics of them… but I never really asked further questions. So yes I can vauch for them being together at one point!

Someone told me to check out this site because Jason (whom I work with) was supposedly on here and I see that he is. After reading this article I went to work and checked the work schedule and seen that Jason had requested days off in September. The dates I believe were the 20th for I think a week or week and a half. I can’t remember. I remember him stating that he was going to be on tv but he never mentioned what show and after reading this I figure he’s going to Denver. I’ll ask him the next time I see him. But from what I have been seeing and from my own research..I’d have to say HE’S GOING! he posted a bulletin on Myspace saying he wasn’t hosting or throwing any parties for the month of September so all signs lead to him going to Denver. Here’s what I got:
*Asked (and recieved) a week or two off from work in Sept. (dates are 20th though whenever)
*Posted a bulletin on Myspace saying he wasn’t Hosting any parties in September.
*Heard through many sources that he was going to be on The Real World to see Jenn who happens to be his ex chick
*I’ve heard Jason MYSELF say he was going to be on tv (though he never stated what show)
*From what I hear (and read from the comments above) Jay and Jenn were pretty close.

Brandon, thanks for the info. Again, they will be done filming by then. Maybe he will host or be part of their wrap party, which is off air. But when they have guests or when they themselves do anything…doesn’t guarantee it will air. So just going doesn’t mean you will be on TV…my gosh, they film them over 100 hours in a week of which probably 20 minutes gets on TV. Then it has to mean something, you know…be part of some edited storyline. So no one doubts your friend is coming…you act like people don’t believe it….no one knows him except from the Bay area. Good luck to him.

I did a little research on Jason and I found his “OTHER” Myspace profile which is Private of course. If you go to search and type in Jason Lafrades it’ll show two profiles: “Jay Lafray” & “Jason”. The Jason one is pivate so you cant see anything. Hmmm…that must be how he communicates without being noticed!

Jason should be in Denver the week August 20th. That’s what a friend told me and they also said he will be there for over a month. Leslie, I’m pretty sure Jason is already looking around at all the clubs and bars to start getting his name out there. Someone told me that Jenn actually called him from the house about 3 weeks ago and they spoke about him going to Denver. John, you should set something up with Jay because I’m sure that Jason being there is going to be the center off all topics. Especially with Jason and Jenn speaking and then Jenn doing all these other things with other men. If they spoke and Jason is going there…something is up with Jason and Jenn. She had to have wanted him to go there for him to go to Denver. Just think about it. Maybe MTV is trying to keep Jay a secret because this is going to be big thing with him going there. Think about the whole plot and how people will want to watch the drama unfold between Jason and Alex or even Jason and the spiky haired guy Jenn supposedly has been seen with. Things will get interesting. Why would they promote Jay going there if it’s going to be big? It would take the whole surpise out of the show if people found out he was going. I know who Jay Lafray is and I heard through someone close to him that he will fly out there the week of the 20th and either stay for a whole month OR stay for 2 weeks and then come home for a week and again fly back out to Denver for another 2 weeks. Word on the street is that the spikey haired guy knows that Jason is coming to Denver. I wonder what Jenn thinks? I wonder what Alex thinks? this is going to be a good season ending thing and a real ratings booster for MTV too. MTV is smart for doing this because it seems like Jenn is the least popular of the girls and could use the help as far as publicity goes. Nothing against Jenn but think about it. I was skimming through some of these comments and I see that Jason will be having a go away party…should be big being that Jason is a known figure out here. I might have to find out where it’s going to be or if it’s an “exclusive ” type thing. I’ll keep everyone updated!

I know Jason personally and am excited to see what happens when he gets to the house. He is such a great guy and I think he will make this Real World alot more intresting then it would have been without him. I just hope the girls are ready for him because he is quite the charmer. It’s cute to see his pictures all over the place, they have more of him on here then they do of any of the cast members! I don’t know about this whole Denver thing yet, but I know for a fact that he and Jenn were hanging around clubs and parties together a few months ago and seemed to really be into each other. It would not surprise me that he would be going to see her because I heard from another friend that he is going out there.

After reading this we (meaning the BLONDE BOMBSHELLS OF NEW YORK…our little click..haha) all say that we look forward to watching this Jason guy on tv. He’s driving us girls in New York wild! I don’t know what Jenn is thinking right now (in reference to being seen making out with these “other guys’) but if you don’t want Jay, then all us girls in New York will be happy to take his sexy ass! A lot of my friends are hardcore Real World watchers and most of them believe this Jason guy could be the ressurection to past failures that MTV has brought to the show. I served with Jason Lafrades in the Marine Corps. from 2000-to 2003. Including Operation Iraqi Freedom. I dont know anything about who he is dating, dated, or is going to be dating.
