– GetRealDenver.com friend and LoDo resident Jon happened to have his video camera with him on Market St. recently when he ran into “The Real World” Denver cast and crew on their way to Two-Fisted Mario’s for a slice of pie.
– Of course the crew wasn’t happy about it, cussing him out, blocking his shots, threatening to call the cops and all the usual behavior. But, despite its choppiness and lack of editing or super-close ups, he managed to get some pretty interesting stuff…
– You can watch the three-minute, eight-second video by clicking on the photo above (note: requires Flash Player). Granted, it’s not the best visual document in the world, but give the guy a break — it’s the first time he’d ever used that camera.
– What’s funny is how quickly and vehemently cast member Colie (in the green top) yells, “F*** you!” at him, and how flustered the production assistants get even after a few seconds. Although, at the very beginning of the video a short, dark-haired female P.A. seems to quickly realize he has a video camera instead of a still camera, and backs off instead of getting all hardcore about it.
– One particularly bizarre moment occurs when cast member Alex decides to climb a tree as the others cheer him on, simultaneously cussing and blocking out Jon. You can bet if they had their security guards with them (usually off-duty uniformed cops) they would have sent them over to intimidate him into leaving.
– “It’s part of being in the city,” Jon good-naturedly asserts before a production assistant threatens to call the cops on him at Two-Fisted Mario’s. Indeed it is, but it seems MTV can’t handle it, even when Jon isn’t interfering in any way with their filming process. So real, that is…
Check back for more video soon…

Although I think the cast should suck it up because they knew what they signed up for, I would be a little annoyed if some random dude just started filming me while I walked down the street without asking.
But then I would make him sign a model release form, and it would be ok.

Boy, Colie does seem like a… not very nice girl. All the other cast members just ignored it, she’s got quite the little temper. What exactly did she expect when she came on the show?

Brando — Maybe annoyed would be justified, but cussing him out and threatening to call the cops on him?
Other than Jon’s initial greeting he wasn’t messing with them at all, just trying to film on public property. Once the crew started hassling him is when he started talking to them as well.

There was already a camera following them, so why does Colie got her knickers in a bunch?

Yah, she did kind of overreact.

give colie a break, she’s a nice girl and has done alot with her life… damn and believe me the fact that she was a bitch has nothing to do with the fact that she’s from New Jersey, it has to do with the fac that there was some random guy with a camera in her face, she’s not a celeb and therefore was freaked out and pissed off by it.

Jeez Colie, take it easy. You knew your life would be an open book when you signed up for this - don’t be so hostile.
