A still from our 24-hour webcam of “The Real World” Denver house on Monday night.
– That would be pretty much the scene Monday night when the show’s producers invited Denver to come out for a sneak peek at the set on Market Street. The event, set for 6:30 to 9 p.m., was a benefit for the Denver Art, Culture & Film Foundation and cost $50 per person. For that amount, promoters promised paying guests could “tour the one-of-a-kind residence and meet the roommates.”
– So how many is nobody? From the bar across the street, it looked like less than 20 gawkers showed up by 8 p.m. And that’s a generous estimate. Maybe it was the rain.

I think the polls are very true!!
In the Polls Archive I have found the following info:
Probably not much (38%)
Not at all (16%)
this demonstrates that 54% don’t really care about the show…
I am not surprised that noone shows up to the “sneak peek” and once again this web site was coolaborating to spread false rumors since the CAST WAS NOT PRESENT and I am pretty sure it won’t be…

Well did they advertise this or was it just word-by-mouth??
Comment by Tony — September 12, 2006 @ 5:19 pm
Tony — MTV sent out several press releases about it to the media, and I wrote about it last week on this blog, which is read by thousands daily. Guess people just weren’t interested.

Tyler: What exactly do you mean by “(insert comment about something revealing inside the house)… “
Comment by Jon — September 12, 2006 @ 7:39 pm
No one is interested, John. Please shut down the site and go back to writing crappy Denver Post articles. Thanks.

Not Interested: I think the tens of thousands of daily hits we get would beg to differ with you.
And anyway… you’re reading it, aren’t you? Go back to leaving pointless blog comments.

I forget, weren’t you not allowed to go by the production crew?
Comment by Brando — September 13, 2006 @ 3:50 pm
Brando — I didn’t push the issue extremely hard, although it’s possible I could have gotten in there if I did. We had other Post reporters there yesterday, and I pretty much already know what the house looks like, who the cast members are, etc. All I would have heard is more of their PR spin about how my blog is ruining the show for everyone. Oh no! Let’s take it down!
Whatever.

Jon: It was just a piece of furniture cubby/storage thing that had a drawer for each of the castmembers and their name on it….When a lady asked if they were the names of the cast the BMP guy was just “er um I have no idea why or what those names are there for…”
Although come to think of it, the only person in the whole place even excluding my friend who was ID’ed was myself… And since my first name is John they may have thought I was the John running this site… I mean I was the only one ID’ed

Tyler: Heh… maybe they thought I was trying to sneak in under the radar as you? That’s funny, in any event. Funny also about the cast names on that cubby/storage thing. Their state of denial about the reality of the show is intense and complete…
