“Real World” Denver cast member Steven (center) may be participating in the next challenge, “Inferno 3.”

– Ah, the blogosphere, where information bounces around faster and more randomly than a pinball. We reported last week that “Real World” Denver cast member Davis was selected to be on the upcoming challenge, slated to start filming in South Africa in a few weeks. Now our friends over at Real World/Road Rules blog are updating us with some more goodness received from another source: “Davis has actually left the country to be with his boyfriend, who is currently studying abroad in Argentina. He will leave from Argentina to South Africa next month…”

– Real World/Road Rules is also saying that I reported the Challenge has already begun filming. Looking through the last few posts, I’m pretty sure I didn’t, but hey — whatever. Only the people that follow this stuff religiously are really going to care whether the show starts filming on Oct. 16 (as RR/RW is saying) or Oct. 26 or Oct. 260th. I think they assumed that since Davis had already left, I was implying it’d already begun filming (I wasn’t).

– We do have some brand new information from cast booking agent Michael Martin, however: “Word I got is that the new challenge is called The Inferno 3. Most cast members are leaving around October 15th to South Africa. As I stated to you earlier Davis may have left earlier, also I have some initial information that Steven from the Denver cast may be going to this challenge, I have NOT confirmed this as of yet.”

– We’ve reported that Denver’s Colie may be part of the next challenge, so that would make three Denver cast members at this challenge. Yeesh! The show hasn’t even aired yet…

– Speaking of blogs, and aren’t we always? there’s a new one up at MTVrealityblog.blogspot.com. It’s already linked to us and regurgitated a few tidbits about the Denver season from our site. It’s pretty slick and at first looks to be related to MTV in some capacity, but earlier today we corresponded with Miami, Fla.-based blogger Chris and he had this to say:

“I have been reading your blog for a while and several other MTV related blogs (like the RW/RR blog) and recently decided to start my own on my spare time. What I want to do with my blog is post news on MTV reality shows and weekly episode summaries of some MTV shows, but since I just started this yesterday, not many people know about it, and I’m a first time blogger. I like your blog because I’m a big fan of The Real World and it’s fun to read all those crazy stories and the latest news on the show.”

In a later message, he added:

“I just realized you talked about my blog in a post. I probably should have put something in there saying that I am not from MTV and just a fan. I’m just a normal guy posting a blog about MTV… and since I just started this blog yesterday, I didn’t think of posting a disclaimer or something saying that I’m not from MTV and just a fan — I’ll come up with one, and put it somewhere on there.

“Thanks for the ad though. And I have also followed reality shows in Miami like MTV’s 8th & Ocean and VH1’s Hogan Knows Best (Reality show on Hulk Hogan’s family, they recently moved to Miami because of Brooke Hogan’s music career) .. but I didn’t write about it. It was more like a crazy fan of reality TV shows chasing production crews and taking pictures? Well, that’s similar to what you do.

And MTV is closely tied to Miami because it was the home to the 2004 and 2005 Video Music Awards, and home to shows like “The Real World” Miami, and 8th & Ocean. So I’m a big MTV fan, and wanted a place to post news and information on MTV shows.
