Red carpet at 1920 Market St.?

Red carpet house 1

– An eagle-eyed reader spotted a marked-off street, valets and a red carpet extended in front of “The Real World: Denver” house on Saturday. The above picture, from our 24-hour webcam, shows the valets milling about 1920 Market St. with hands in pockets.

So my question: What was going on there? The house recently sold for $3.3 million to become an upscale restaurant (read about it here), so perhaps the new owners were holding a private party for investors? I’ll look into it, but in the meantime feel free to write in with your tips or wildly irresponsible speculations…

  2. You don’t say… Because I know people that were there too, and they said it was a party for the new owners of the building, not anything MTV-related.

  3. Ok ok….we DID have a party. It was NOT MTV related. It was simply a invitation only party for the pre-launch of our new restaurant opening in a few months. We had about 250 guests. Keep your eyes open for things coming soon!
