Here’s a post from Get Real Denver contributor Kathleen St. John. Read it and weep, peoples.

– Trouble’s brewing again on this week’s episode. Last time, big fakers Brooke and Stephen got out of five days of Outward Bound training and headed back to Denver, along with the genuinely sick-seeming Davis. The episode ended with Stephen and Brooke enjoying disgusting vodka-and-Pepsi cocktails in the hot tub and gloating over their escape…

8:00: The kids are up bright and early, preparing for their hike. There’s a little whining, of course, but off they go.

8:02: As they cross the 12,000-foot elevation mark, the whining and bitching increase. Colie even tries to wring out some tears…

8:03: Oh boy! Snow! Colie, Jenn and Alex begin coasting down a snowfield on their jackets. Too bad the cast members aren’t still here in town to enjoy all the, um, delightful white stuff we’re currently experiencing.

8:04: Back in Denver, Brooke, Stephen and a healed Davis are goofing off. Davis teases Brooke about her fake limp.

8:05: Scenes of the mountaineering cast members are intercut with the slackers enjoying themselves at … The Old Spaghetti Factory? A shocking departure from their usual outings to Monarck, the Tavern Downtown and Rock Bottom Brewery.

8:06: Jenn theorizes that her friends in Denver are enjoying a “gourmet” dinner. Not quite, lady. But they’re soon back in the hot tub.

8:07: While hiking up a steep incline, Tyrie begins panting quickly and clutching an inhaler. High altitude doesn’t seem to be agreeing with the poor guy, and it’s off to commercial.

8:12: Tyrie talks about his asthma, and how the thin, cold air is making it worse.

No one can deny how amazing you smell.

8:13: Outward Bound leader Raleigh tries to tell Tyrie that he’s using his inhaler incorrectly, but he’s having none of it. It’s a little insulting, to be sure, since Tyrie claims he’s been using the inhaler for 12 years.

8:14: Chris puts Tyrie in the front and tries to adjust the group’s pace for him.

8:15: Chris says that the kids he’s worked with would “run (the cast members) into the ground.” Guess all those nights of partying have taken their toll. Meanwhile, there’s more screwing around down in Denver.

8:16: Davis decides to try and catch up with his castmates in the mountains, while Brooke brags about her schedule for the next day: Facial, massage, pedicure.

8:17: Up in the mountains, everyone but Ty plans to bag a peak the next day. Jenn and Colie bond further, chatting in their sleeping bags. How sweet.

8:18: Stephen is uncertain about joining Davis on his trek back to the mountains, even though he feels “wretched” about it.

8:19: Shocker: Stephen keeps sleeping while Davis heads up into the hills. Way to get out there, Davis!

Beyond lazy and evil.

8:20: The segment ends on a suspenseful note. Colie talks about how gung-ho she felt on the mountain while they hiked through a snowfield. Then Alex shouts “Oh my God!” as a camera hits the snow.

8:24: Duh — Colie just stepped a little too hard and went up to her knees in the snow. Bo-ring.

8:25: Davis meets up with a lonely Tyrie, who’s happy to see him.

8:26: Colie makes it to the top of the 13,908-foot peak. She enjoys the view and congratulates herself. Jenn busts out with her usual superlatives: “rock star” and “badass.”

8:27: Cut to Brooke — wearing a brace on her ankle and high-heeled sandals on her feet. She’s on a mission to get pampered. She looks ridiculous.

8:28: The trip finally over, Chris explains that when the Outward Bound program starts, the cast members who completed the full training period will be dubbed interns, while the others will be lowly “assistant” interns. Prepare for drama when one of the interns tries bossing around the assistants. Can’t wait!

8:29: Brooke greets the returning cast members in her bikini, filing her nails. Colie is justifiably disgusted. Colie confesses to Jenn that she’s so mad at Brooke she “can’t look at her.” Oblivious, Brooke continues filing her nails and sunning herself on the porch.

8:30: Next week’s preview shows Colie getting upset with Alex for boning another chick. This, despite her dates with Adam, her former Outward Bound co-worker. Girl, get over it! Maybe Colie’s just a little too sensitive for the drinking-and-sexin’ of the Real World way of life.
