Westword’s thrilled “The Real World” has vacated our fair city.
– We’ve always known that Westword, Denver’s alternative newsweekly, was never a huge fan of “The Real World: Denver” (see this inspired stunt they pulled), but this piece from last week proves it. Are they too harsh, or are they just saying what everyone else is thinking?

I think this is right on! Brooke and Davis were the worst two people in Real World history. Yes, they kept the show interesting, but only because they were so horrible that it was hard to look away. Brooke especially. I really hope she was acting because if that is really her, I feel sorry for her. And yes, the boob job looks horrible. Davis invites drama. He’s bff with Brooke for god’s sake. Colie said nothing important the entire show. She tried, but said nothing. Jenn is a cool girl. Stephen needs to get over himself. Tyrie and Alex, you must of woke up every morning and wondered why MTV put you in the looney bin.

sorry I disagree. The westword article and the commnet above are both full of extreme and hateful statements, i think the real drama queens are all the people who write such overthetop junk. who would keep on watching a show that they totally hate?? Only some sort of closet wannabe.

The Westword hates everything…that’s why we love it so much.
However, The Real World, in general, hasn’t been all that interesting since San Fran in 1994. It’s far too predictable and the reccuring themes of racism and homophobia are about as staged as the in-house romances that take place.
Just one girl’s opinion.

I think the article was out of line. Everyone has issues. These people just put theirs out there for everyone to see. I’m not saying they should be applauded or admired, but tone down the hate. I’d like to see the author of that article have every aspect of his life dissected and then be written about in a scathing article.

That article was really, really sad. The author, Adam-Cayton Holland– he must be secretly in love with Brooke or something. Those statements about her are completely out of line– completely bizarre, actually. Maybe Brooke reminded the author of a past love that broke his heart… or the girl he could never get.

Honestly, how can any sane human being fail to hate “The Real World”? Yes, it’s gone downhill since SF in 1994, but only in the sense of turning from tripe to utter tripe. The only thing lower on TV might be “Sweet 16″ (or actually, any of a half-dozen “reality” shows on the major networks).

Yes, that article was quite hateful. oh, how nice it would be sit around to get paid to say such rude and hateful things. if that were so, i would be a millionaire!!! that article doesn’t show any true journalistic reporting, that was about trash writing about trash.
P.S. Alex is a man-whore, not normal!!!!
