“The Real World: Denver” Reunion

Brooke is, once again, the center of these fine people’s attention.

– Just when you thought it was safe to forget about the crapfest that was “The Real World: Denver,” MTV comes at you with more catty exhibitionists talking about how unbelievably sweet they are. That’s right, RW Denver’s Reunion Special debuted a couple days ago on MTV and MTV.com, and it was everything we expected, which is to say, very little.

– The special starts of with a rehash of Colie’s inane, “I’m gonna miss you guys” poem from the last episode before launching into the heavily edited fun. So what was the big “secret” they teased last week? And what’s there to learn?

– Nothing, really. The girls have dyed their hair, Brooke got a boob job and knows how to use air quotes, they’re all still brittle toward each other, Jenn still talks louder than anyone else, Tyrie still talks quickly, and Alex has taken on a few pounds in the facial region.

– The relentless flashbacks include season lowlights such as Brooke’s freakouts (“That’s how I was made,” she says. I’m guessing she was made by a vindictive genetic scientist), Brooke and Davis’s flirting, Stephen and Davis’s disagreements, and “crazy” hook-ups, which seemed to happen daily.

– Alex, unsurprisingly, admits he could care less about learning or growing during the experience. Colie looks sullen and somewhat clueless, and everyone else just seems bored. Tyrie apparently also gave Tyron from the Outward Bound boy’s trip a Jeep, “an amazing gift” that gave Jeep about five minutes of free advertising. Bloopers and more inanity follow.

– Jenn even manages to use the term “rock on” before they sign off. Sounds pretty exciting, huh? Not really. If you want to kill some brain cells and hear all the self-delusion, you can watch it here.

– You can also preview the “S@#t They Should Have Shown” outtakes show right here before it debuts next Wednesday at 8 p.m.
