“The Real World: Denver” cast members greet their dignity as it appears on the horizon.

– After tonight “The Real World: Denver” is no more, unless you count reruns, reunion specials, the inevitable DVD, and Inferno 3 Real World/Road Rules challenge, which includes most of the Denver roommates. OK, so maybe it’s not The End, but it’s mercifully close. Here’s a liveblog of the one-hour, sex-tastic season finale:

8:00: Flashbacks from the 18th season include Davis and PJ’s relationship, plus Stephen and Jenn’s burgeoning sexual attraction that started in Thailand.

8:01: The roommates return from said Thailand trip and Davis immediately gets on the phone. Various shots of the roommates unpacking their luggage are intercut with Davis saying how they’ll wrap up on Tuesday…

Can we ever forget “The Real World: Denver”? Please?

– Most faithful GetRealDenver readers know I’m a sarcastic ass much of the time, but I took a step back today to be as objective as possible about the impact of “The Real World: Denver” on our fair city.

– Check out The Denver Post article right here, which discusses the overall audience impact, a bit about the roommates, and other topics. I’ll be posting a few unedited interviews I did with city leaders, bar owners and fans in this space in the coming days as we transition this site to a more general entertainment-oriented blog.

– I’ll be at the Morrissey show at the Fillmore tonight when “The Real World: Denver” airs at its regular time, so here’s a liveblog of this week’s episode from MTV’s Afternoon Sneak:

2:30: Flashbacks from the previous episode include Colie talking about her, er, Clinton-esque experience with Alex, the roommates learning of their cast vacation to Thailand and Brooke, predictably, complaining about how potentially scary it will be. Because for her, every opportunity is a drawback.

2:31: The roommates arrive in Thailand and board a bus where Brooke complains, again, about how long they’ve been traveling. “Three days,” she whines, before everyone corrects her: “Two days.” These are minor quibbles for someone who will cry repeatedly in the coming minutes…

A pic from earlier today of “The Real World: Denver” house at 1920 Market St.

– “The Real World: Denver” ends on May 16, which means we’ve only got two more episodes left. That isn’t stopping the new owners of the house from renovating like crazy. As you can see from the photo above, work is still going on at 1920 Market St. to transform it into a nightclub (we first told you about it right here).

– The sliding green mini-garage doors that hid the hot tub have been removed, and work permit stickers line the front windows. Why? Because the space will include The Abbey Restaurant and Lounge, a high-end LoDo nightlife spot. We spoke today with partner Josh Haakinson about the cost, the notoriety of the house, and the weird/cool things they’re planning for the basement…

Davis grapples with his sexuality in a tasteful, private way.

– Last week’s “Real World: Denver” led us to believe this episode would be all about revealing the cast vacation in Thailand, (which we told you about last summer). But a few flashbacks hint at more: The troubled relationship between Davis and his mom, Davis’s drunken birthday bash, and Colie’s attachment issues.

– We start with the roommates returning from their final Outward Bound trip to hugs, relief, and a “sick” Colie hanging out upstairs. “Hot Justin called,” Colie says. She gets excited and we see flashbacks of her other summer conquests with Alex, ex-boyfriend Corey and Outward Bound lackey Adam. Colie asserts she’s not going to hook up with Alex again. Really. She means it this time…
