– Forget about the overwrought, uber-polished spectacle of Cirque du Soleil. Denver’s Bug Theatre will feature the more intimate and daring circus-style freak show Circus Contraption tomorrow through Wednesday. The colorful slate of presentations, tricks and oddities — which Seattle-based Contraption dubs “a bracing curative for the afflictions of our time” — will certainly satisfy the
adventurous eye. Contraption’s jazzy house band will also hit the Oriental Theater in North Denver on Friday for a music-only set opening for the Asylum Street Spankers.
