If you’ve never been to the up-and-coming Larimer Warehouse District, do yourself a favor and check it out before it becomes Yuppieville. Photo by Cyrus McCrimmon, The Denver Post.
Ever since we shifted over from a “Real World: Denver”-centric blog (remember when that hideous blight was visited upon our town?) it’s been a bit of a random culture site, bringing you the best nightlife (bars and clubs) and food (from your neighborhood burrito stand to the hottest new bistro) news. But by and large, we’ve focused on the things that I write most about for The Denver Post: comedy and music.
To that extent, we thought we’d make your Friday easier by rounding up the best reviews and previews of bands, comedians and club happenings for this week. For starters, check out this Q&A with comedian Greg Behrendt in advance of his shows at Comedy Works South tonight and Saturday. Denver Post pop music critic Ricardo Baca also schools us about the Larimer Warehouse District, an up-and-coming area near downtown where “grit meets great in art, music.”
But wait, there’s more.
If you’re looking for the latest nightlife happenings pre-Thanksgiving, check Kathleen St. John’s clubs roundup. Our Reverb blog features loads of new reviews from recent shows, including Of Montreal, New Kids on the Block, Land of Talk, the Crystal Method, Metro Station and dozens more. Also check all the hottest new shows on sale here, and a sampling of the shows this weekend and next week here. What about all-ages randomness? Best Bets has you covered.
Don’t say we never did anything for you.
