If you haven’t heard of Bo Burnham yet, you’re about to. The fresh-faced teenage comedian is about to blow up like a Hefty bag full of beef stew (as Red Meat’s Max Cannon might say).
Yeah, getting more than 22 million hits on YouTube for your cutesy, acoustic-driven songs ain’t bad. Neither is appearing on “Last Call with Carson Daly” or “Talkshow with Spike Feresten.” (Note: Carson Daly himself is bad.)
But Burnham’s about to hit the really big time this year. First up we’ve got his first-ever Comedy Central Presents special dropping in March, hot on the heels of his iTunes-topping “Bo Fo Sho” album. He’s also auditioning around Hollywood for movie roles, developing a project with fellow joke-rocker/actor Jack Black and working on a screenplay for Judd Apatow.
OK, so the guy’s popular already, but he’s about to get bigger. Next week is your chance to see him in a (relatively) intimate environment when Burnham stops by Comedy Works South Jan. 15-17 for a series of 16-and-up shows.
Grab your tickets right here, and catch up with some of the videos below (warning: mature content).
“I’m Bo Yo”
“My Better Half”
“My Whole Family Things I’m Gay”
“New Math”
