1. Sometime last week me and my buddies were downtown looking for the Real World house. When we came across 19th & Market we not only saw the house, but saw two of the cast members being filmed outside. They were walking down to the 16th Street Mall. I couldn’t get a very good look at their faces (they were both wearing hats) but one of them was a short brunette (white), probably around 5′2″, and a taller white guy, probably around 5′8″. The guy, I believe, was gay. Later that day me and my friends went back to the house and there was a small door-sized opening into the backyard. The backyard had a basketball court and something that looked like some sort of netting. But in the backyard was two more male cast-members. One was an average looking white guy with brown hair, and (the one and only) token black guy. We didn’t see the white guy for more than a few seconds, but the black guy came out and had a brief conversation with us. When we asked him if he was on the Real World. He quickly replied “no” but the look on his face confirmed that he was. From what I can remember, he pretty much looked like a bootleg David Banner, without the scruffy beard. Later, when we went back to the 16th Street Mall, we saw the two cast members from before. Only this time we got a close look at their faces. Which, ultimately, confirmed the white guys sexual preferance.

13. i am sick of seeing gay guys, its time for some lesbians on the show! the last lesbian we had was Aneesa (Chicago). Not including Evelyn from the Fresh Meat challenge, who is a lesbian. Anyone know if any of the females are gay? I am sick of gay guys, we just had a gay guy on Key West and 2 in Philly.

21. Saw an attractive black female and male this morning having breakfast at Snooze on 22nd and Larimer, complete with camera crew. Our waitress said that they were from the RW. The male was not Ty.

24. Hey there– I saw the real world cast today at Civic Center Park for the Gay Pride festival. The blonde guy who is pictured above was there along with two women. They were making people sign wavers and they were being filmed all over the park. My friends and I kept running into them and one of the girls was a complete— well I won’t say it here– but anyway, the blonde guy pictured above was definitely there today

37. Saw the cast out two weeks ago. Two girls and a guy. The guy and one of the girls where off to the side and walking ahead. The other girl was a complete #$%^& (I htink she might be the cast member from New Jersey). She was being completly obnoxious. She stopped and bought a hot dog and then threw her trash in the street. Who does she think she is? You’re on the Real World, be respectful or go home!

40. So,
    I have to admit I have been watching the real world since the Miami season. I actually enjoy watching the Key West season so far, plus I’m from Florida. I was extremley excited about MTV coming to Denver, till I ran into two of the girls last night. My friend and I were at double fisted pizza parlor on market when an obvious drunk came in. She ordered a pizza then sat down at a table. About 10minutes later a taller slinder female came in to join her. A little rush of people came in so the pizza was taking a bit. After about 15min, the tall slinder girl who looks like Collie in the pic kept yelling at the cook we need our pizza NOW man…. I must have heard her say that about 5 times. The other female shorter and a lil bit heavier gets up and proceeds behind the counter. How roud can you get? Finally their pizza came up and it was like watching two dogs run after a treat. The two are standing at the cash register waiting for “more ranch” when the shorter girl puts her hands in the employee tip jar and takes the cash and puts it in Collie’s clevage. Not Cool. One of the employees came back with their ranch and Collie took the cash out and out put it back in the jar. The two females proceed to eat the pizza at the front counter where you order and two guy’s walked in waiting. I don’t know what was said but the shorter girl started running her mouth, your mom’s a Ho…. Fu–king Bi-ch blah blah….. then Collie joins in on the trash talking, Mario’s pizza brothers will come kick your As-s…. we’re on the real world, we’re going to be on TV… and these guy’s did what? They wanted to order a pizza and these girls are stuffing their face at the counter. As they were walking out still running their mouth a female behind me was like yeah you ugly Bi-t-hes get out of here who cares if your on MTV. To my surprise the female behind me recognized them from Uptown Tavern and said that the two girls were bragging about being on the show the whole time at the bar and making a scene and demanding things just because they were on the Real World. I would have never have known especially since there was no camera crew. I can tell you now that with attitudes like that I have no desire to watch trashy, crude, ugly people like that. “Where was the camera crew to catch that real sh-t? They were busy filming Steven at Martini Ranch and Spill. My friend and I ran into the crew there before we hit the pizza joint.

42. WOW!! Seems to me like some little girls have let this show go to their head. When they get paid big bucks to be on TV then they can brag about being on TV. Either way being on TV doesnt call for acting like a horses a**. I think its funny and it shows that they probably are trying to be someone or something their not. Its too bad the cameras didnt catch that.

47. last night I went to Rise with a couple of friends,mand the Real World Cast was there. They seemed like a pretty cool group of people. A little drunk, but they seemed pretty cool. It was pretty crazy being up in VIP with cameras all in your face, and them taping every single that or conversation that looked a little important between cast members and whoever else they were talking too. One of the cast members decided to pick me out as his for the night. He kept following me around, asking were I was from, trying to kiss me, he even kissed my feet. I saw them taping a conversation between one of the cast mates and what seemed to be his boyfriend. They also taped when the cast came back in from the patio and conversed among each other about where to go next. It was kind of funny, because it seemed like one of the cast mates was too busy running from the camera and chasing me. He was really cool too. First I thought it was just him being all drunk, but he called today, and we talked for a little bit, and he’s a nicew person. It was just weird, they were all living normal lives, and now they know that once this airs, they will be noticed everywhere they go. So, in a way, it kind of seems like they were trying to see what cast member was going to “out shine” all the rest in hopes to be a “real world all star.” and for some reason I think Steve’s gonna have everybody beat. He seems like a real character, funny, wild, and crazy, but still seems like a sweetie. I can just tell by the things he was saying and the way he was acting towards me last night.

52. Saw most of the RW cast out at Tryst chillin out with cool martinis. The girl identified as Colie was running her foul mouth and talking big about going on a wilderness trip next week with some kids. From the words that came out of her mouth and the rude attitude, she really must be from Jersey. The other, shorter girl seemed more of a sidekick to her. I think Colie did call her by the name of Jen. The girl identified as Brooke still seemed pretty easy going and not too into being in the spotlight like the other two girls. Tyree seemed pretty into himself but the guy known as Steve seemed nice enough.

54. I recently had an encounter with “The Real World Denver” at JR’s…the gay bar. It was tenish or so when they showed up, walking up with the camera & lights was unmistakable. Had the pleasure of running into James & Brooke (what appears to be his fag-hag) in the bathroom looking very sexy. No cameras allowed in there. They seem pretty chill, Brooke more fun and talkative then James. The group left at around midnight and while waiting for a cab, Ty was in a conversation with Stephen on the sidewalk right next to the patio area where I was sitting. Out of nowhere a cocktail glass comes flying down from the second balcony nailing the camera guy square in the dome(luckily, he had an afro to cushion the blow). Stunned, he stumbled a little, put his camera down and ran inside to kick their @ss…Now that’s some “real world” footage, I tried to convince one of the cast members to grab his camera and film the chase!…not five min. later a second glass comes shooting down nailing the concrete and shattering to pieces. Why the violence??! Is it jealousy? People need to stop harassing these guys, they’re just like us but with cameras in their faces all the time and don’t tell me you wouldn’t get a lil’ star-struck if you were on MTV. Lets put a positive spin on this. Don’t give gays in Denver a bad name!!

I was also at JR’s the night when the glass was thrown on the camera man - which I must say that it’s not cool at all, but I thought the gay guy this season worked at JR’s?

57. Saw two of the real world girls out the other night - Brooke was not one of them…After watching these two girls for a few minutes I was a bit surprised that they would be picked for the show. I am not sure how old they are but they acted like 19 year old college freshman who were under the delusion that they are hot and cool. On one hand though the girls may be good for the show and I had to laugh a little….they truly give the impression that they think they are hot sh**….however, I don’t think they have much of a clue that they are making fools of themselves for the world to see…pawns in MTVs game…I assume Brooke will be the only girl that gets any work from the show afterwards if she wants it….the other two will be laughing stocks…at best they will get the ‘love to hate’ treatment when real world denver is a thing of the past…

    RW9: Julie, Kelley, Melissa
    RW10: Nicole, Lori, Rachel, Coral
    RW11: Aneesa, Keri, Cara, Tonya
    RW12: Brynn, Irulan, Trishelle, Arissa
    RW13: Christina, Leah, Mallory

    Thus there were 3 consecutive seasons with an excess of female castmembers and no 3/4 alternating gender rule applies.

63. why are any of you shocked that these kids get drunk and act like snarky little he and she devils? that has been the modus operandi of this show from the get-go . . . it has to do with how old these kids are — they are young, don’t know how to handle their liquer and the experience of being on television goes straight to their heads . . . I’m sure it is part of MTV’s script — show them drunk and acting like assholes — makes for good television!

77. Saw Brooke out around the Ox with two older people, maybe her parents? The woman was pretty and much a looker like Brooke. She was tiny but there was a definite resemblance in the face so I think it must have been her mother. The guy had white hair and looked a little more elderly but might have been her father? Anybody else see cast member Brooke with these people or know what it was about?

Its amazing that you would add that to her bio without any confirmation. You seem to leave out all positive and good and let in the trash. She is an amazing person. It’s just by what you hear and see.

84. Ryan — absolutely, The Denver Post is part of the media and I’m a reporter for it. I’m just saying, this site is only peripherally related to The Post (technically we’re “partners”) and I’m not writing anything close to actual news articles when I update it.

    GetReal Denver.com is OK with gossip and rumors as long as it’s not outright lies or libel. We’d never knowingly print anything we thought to be wrong, and I spend a lot of time every day calling the places mentioned in this blog to make sure the cast was there when people said they were, that they were doing what people said they were, etc.

    Anytime we find out something’s wrong we correct it immediately, and we welcome all feedback and comments. Yes, I helped create this blog and I maintain it, but 99 percent of the info on here is stuff I’ve personally collected and verified — or stuff readers that have sent in that I’ve verified. I’d never just make sh*t up outta the blue…

101. M T V - Music Television? Musical Television?
     HOLY BALLS!!! All I want is to watch a video!!!!!!!!
     Every time I turn on MTV I get treated to a Real World marathon. Now no offense to the five genetic rejects that not only have to live with the other four, but have to do it on camera… if I want to see the Real World, I’ll watch CNN.
     M T V …The name alone suggests that it has something to do with music; well not whenever I turn it on. So if you want to see a video on MTV (I thought the M stood for Music) you need to stay up until 2am to do so. This is something that really irritates me. I am starting to notice a few more video related shows on here and there. However, MTV needs to realize that a true music video fan does not want to see a bunch of rejects talking over the video about what they like about this artist and their video. I also don’t need to see some drive up window reject introducing videos…wait a sec, they are just missing one letter: F …I got it now: M F TV! Mother F#$%$ TV!

114. This past weekend, I saw a black male (Tyrie maybe?) come out of the house and sit on sit on the front steps of the house to make a call on a cell phone. There wasn’t a film crew with him at the time. He was really pissed and was yelling so loud we could hear him across the street. He was all Ni*** this, and Ni*** that. 120. I am so stoked to find this website see Brooke. I got to know her a little bit while she was in LA. She is an incredible woman with a heart of gold. What I imagine a true southern lady to be. From my interaction with her, she appeared to be intelligent, very introspective and insightful. She seemed as beautiful on the inside as she so obviously is on the outside. 124. Another Preview of the Real World Denver:

     I walked to Illegal Pete’s tonight to grab a bite to eat and brought my video camera with me in case I ran in to the Real World filming. I got a kick out filming them last night so I thought another round may be fun. As I turned the corner on Market St., I saw a bunch of people out front of the Real World building. Of course I had to turn on the camera and get some filming! I think the crew is dealing with people with cameras differently or something now. They were once again pretty nice and seemed to simply be doing their job to block me while I was having fun trying to film. If they truly were told to act less aggressive and defensive it was certainly a good call on MTV’s part as it makes it not as fun to film. Also, there was no cop again. I wonder if the Denver police decided to no longer be at their beck and call?

     I was able to film a few clips tonight but two of them suck and are basically just of a clipboard and me moving the camera around trying to avoid it and the other one deserves an explanation. I actually filmed about 4 minutes of Steve as he was walking with only a girl and no crew or anybody else was around him. The guy was so damn nice and polite that our of respect to him and the girl he was with, I think it is best that the clip goes unposted. He really handled himself very well in regards to having some annoying random guy film him while being under contract with MTV and all. I asked him if Collie was as bad as she seems but I could not get him to comment. He was good at respecting what he could and could not say without being hostile whatsoever. He told me he was just trying to go out and have dinner with his girlfriend so I decided to respect that and turn the camera off. I thanked him for being a good sport and left them alone. Many props to Steve!!

     I went back to the house to see if people were still there and they were - this is the clip that I assume John will post. It was funny because after I turned the camera off Ty said ‘hey that is the kid with the bike from last night?’. The film crew actually started to film me! I pulled my camera out again and attempted to film them filming me but I could not get it on in time. I did however hold my camera up calling their bluff and I said, ‘what are you going to film ME now? Sweet!’ They put the camera down and walked away. As I continued to walk in the opposite direction up 19th, two guys from the crew followed me for a while on scooter but split once I went down a one way street. Anyhow, I hope you all find the clip decent. I tried to keep a steady hand this time! As you can see/hear I asked Alex if he slept with Collie but he would not answer. Maybe it was my ‘Kermit the Frog’ sounding voice I am just now realizing I have while viewing the playbacks?!? I read the posts above a few minutes ago and see I was mistaken as well as the rumor was that he actually hooked up with Sarah, not Collie. For some strange reason he did not even ask or seem concerned with whether or not I slept with either one?!?! :)

     Well said. You need to know that the East Brunswick High School has been dealing with several anti-semetic issues over the past few years. Colie was once excluded from an off campus party. They house holding the party needed to limit the size of the gathering. They did this by having a person hold up a sign that said “No Jew Girl’s”.
     Since the party was not on school grounds nothing could be done. This happened the day before scholarships were awarded to deserving graduates. The girl holding the sign was given the B’nai Brith scholarship. Even the anti-defimation league couldn’t take it away.

     I babysat for colie and some of her friends ….
     they are suburban girls who are lucky enough to have material things, however DO NOT judge a book by it’s edited blurbs….
     I now own a home in EB and hope to G-d it is not an anti-semetic town– I grew up there and came back there becasue of their support of all sorts of people…
     I seriously hoped that the younger people of our time ( I am in my 30’s) would be more open and less judgemental then the adults I know–some of you are so angry and bitter– let’s just watch and see what happens.. People really deserve the benefit of the doubt…I am pretty sure that is why this show was even created in the first place to give people a chance to learn about those they don’t get to meet in “real life”

174. Based on personal experience, Jenn is by far the most duplicitous, selfish, self-serving, cocky, waste of life that I have ever had the displeasure of knowing. I would pity someone who will amount to nothing more than a reality TV show memory, a crumpled and faded pin up, or the wet dream of some RW denver fans. But really, Karma comes full circle and it’s going to hit her like a speeding bus.

     I really hope that the producers do a good job of “editing” so that the whole world can see her true colors.

180. so, i think collie is gorgeous, im a denverite, im freakin excited to see this show and now that it’s airing im even more excited…hell i freaked out when i saw them at a club i used to work at…and jenn is hot, but like stripper hot, so outta my league, collie lol, seems more of a real kind of attractive…(i hope that came across non insulting) the guys are crazy….so i wont even bother chattin about them….and brooke is grogeous, but definately not my type… GO COLLIE!!!

181. I too went to high school with Colie. The above descriptions are completely different from how I remember her. I always thought she was a sweet and self-confident girl. Perhaps, it was her clear sense of self that all these trash-talking low-lifes interpreted as a rude and egotistical girl. In any case, I always thought she was absoultely hilarious with a warm-heart. I cant wait to see the remaining episodes. She is by far the best Real World character yet!

     Perhaps, those of you who have the misfortune of having the time to sit here in judgement of someone you knew 80 years ago should go find something better to do with your lives.
