  7. For those that continously put down the Real World… Obviously you have nothing better to do but look at this website. So really who needs to get a life. If you didn’t care, you wouldn’t be making comments nor be viewing the webcam nor be viewing articles based upon the Real World. The only thing I find stupid is your remarks. Grow up and face reality…

  24. for Rach, not everyone is watching the camera 24/7, so not everyone will see the same thing….there were a couple cop cars sitting outside last night with their lights on and were out there for at least an hour, most people probably didnt see it because it was the middle of the night, and what else is there to say while looking at a camera other then what your seeing…
Just thought id drop that info on ya.

And Ariel thanks for dropping tha info on me. Sorry if my comment offended anyone. From now on i will just watch the camera 24/7 since thats what you guys seem to think i do.

    Comment by Carlos — June 30, 2006 @ 10:27 am

  31. The street was blocked off last night because of some extreme sports thing, I think the Mountain Dew Action Sports tour. There was a ramp in the middle of Market St. and motorcross bikes doing huge, scary-looking jumps all night long.

  43. Saw the Real World crew out at Snooze on Sunday. I don’t want to offend anybody but the girls were just average on Key West and I thought that was going to be the same for Denver until I saw the girl named Brooke. At least I think it was her. Now I know that love at first sight is possible. The producers knew what they were doing when they scored her for the show. The other two girls looked better than the Key West girls, but Brooke is definitely HOT. She seemed to be taking it all in stride and not too high on herself. The other girls kept looking around to see who was watching them but Brooke was just hanging. The guys seemed too be taking it all in stride too. So Brooke, can I meet you in your hot tub?

  58. This is crazy! One of the cast mates is a good friend of mine. I’ve known him since middle school and throughout high school. I just can’t believe someone you know a long time ends up being on the Real World.

    Comment by Bucky — July 13, 2006 @ 6:00 pm

  59. Don’t tell them anything, Bucky. He wouldn’t want you to. (be a good friend)

    Comment by leslie — July 13, 2006 @ 11:20 pm

  60. Bucky — whatever, don’t listen to Leslie, who’s probably an MTV mole. Of course your friend isn’t going to want you to tell us anything, since he signed a contract with MTV saying he wouldn’t. You should do whatever you want to do. Giving us info on any cast members will help us flesh out our profiles and be more accurate in our reporting, so I encourage you to do that. We can keep you totally anonymous. All that Leslie is going to tell you is stuff you already know.

    Comment by John Wenzel — July 14, 2006 @ 10:57 am

  61. Nooooo, Bucky…I know who you are…if they find anything out…..besides, I’ll tell you everything I know…This is a fun site, but I know so much more…just call me, B.

    Comment by leslie — July 14, 2006 @ 12:04 pm

    Comment by Bucky — July 14, 2006 @ 3:45 pm

  63. Bucky — I just meant that if you wanted to help us flesh out your friend’s profile on our “Meet the Cast” page, I’d welcome any info (I’m assuming it’s Alex?)

    Comment by John Wenzel — July 14, 2006 @ 9:21 pm

  64. Yea it’s Alex, but leslie says she knows who I am and I’m not sure what he/she is talking about. Plus, i’m not sure if i’m supposed to be dishing out information on him. I’ll tell you this much, he’s a damn good swimmer.

  71. There is always a cop car in front of their building. What’s up with that? That’s great to know that the tax payers of Denver pay for the security of these winners. Good one Hickenlooper.

    Comment by coooopssss — July 20, 2006 @ 1:28 pm

  72. I’m sure these off-duty cops are paid quite handsomely by MTV to protect the cast and crew. They were quick to surround me when I was taking photos. But where were they when bottles were being tossed at them at J.R.’s?

    Comment by John Wenzel — July 20, 2006 @ 6:09 pm

  73. This webcam is great. I’m in another country and can see what’s going on in my hometown! Wish I were there to enjoy the fun.

  74. That Alex kid brings my friend Sarah back to the house one night she saidshe had to sign all these papers and releases it took forever and was complicated. Maybe it will be on TV. Look for me to I was with her walking on Market St. we were on vacation there from Wisconsin.

  75. can you please get a live feed and zoom so we can watch better that would be amazing but what we have is better than nothing The webcam was a awesome idea where is it and also i heard that some people had put a webcam in the house butit was found

    Comment by Sarah — July 24, 2006 @ 10:36 pm

  76. Sarah — we’ve been looking into installing live streaming webcams the past few days. Will keep you updated. We’re also looking into putting up a few more webcams at Denver hotspots, maybe expanding beyond LoDo and including a bit more non-”Real World” related calendar items on the blog (like bar reviews and club info).

    Comment by John Wenzel — July 25, 2006 @ 10:33 am

  77. Is it really true that Real World rented the whole block? I find that hard to believe - how much would that cost?! But I guess MTV has a lot of $$$…so does that mean that they ‘own’ the sidewalks as well if they really leased the whole block?! Just curious….

    Comment by Chris — July 25, 2006 @ 11:35 pm

  78. Chris — I really doubt MTV rented the whole block, seeing as how there are multiple other businesses and a fire station on it. I’ll look into it and let you know what I hear, but like I said, I’m sure it was just some crew member screwing with the public, as they’re wont to do.

    Comment by John Wenzel — July 26, 2006 @ 12:19 pm

  79. i suppose that it is down once again.
    anyone else notice this?
it is 6:05 and the last time stamp on the camera image is 4:57.

    Comment by spencer — July 28, 2006 @ 3:59 pm

  82. We could although honestly there’s not much to see. There’s a green door that crew members enter and leave from and that’s about it. I’ll see what we can do though…

  85. This whole blog is PATHETIC. It’s an attempt to try seem hip and young, but I bet everyone involved in this WACK website is 40 or older.

You all got punked for good reason. It’s sophomoric journalism about a show that has been played out for years.

    Comment by Yomama — August 7, 2006 @ 8:58 pm

  86. Yomama… yikes, sounds like you have some kind of axe to grind. Not that it’s any of your business, but I’m actually in my 20’s. And hip? Do you think if we wanted to seem hip that we would pick something like “The Real World” to blog about? The show’s been on the air since I was in freakin’ grade school.

We’re doing this blog because “The Real World” gets almost zero scrutiny when they film in their respective towns, and we thought it’d be fun to blow the lid off the whole thing before it aired. And I’m not sure which “punked” item you’re referring to either. We update and correct the info on here almost constantly.

Anyway, you obviously came onto the site to read it and leave a comment, didn’t you?

    Comment by John Wenzel — August 7, 2006 @ 9:15 pm

  87. “We’re doing this blog because “The Real Worldâ€? gets almost zero scrutiny when they film in their respective towns, and we thought it’d be fun to blow the lid off the whole thing before it aired. And I’m not sure which “punkedâ€? item you’re referring to either.”

Such a new idea. NOT. When Chicago was still filming, LiquidGeneration.com basically did the same thing, but they actually included enetertaining videos along with their commentary… RWSD.com did the same thing for the San Diego season (most of the best spoilers were put on their messageboard thanks to a loosed lipped girlfriend), RealWorldPhilly.com busted the lid on the Philly and Austin seasons, while KeyWest blogspot gave us all the inside dish of the Key West season including the lawsuit that nearly sent Bunim/Murray packing. This idea is not new folks.

    Comment by realworldfan — August 8, 2006 @ 12:23 pm

  88. realworlfan — Right you are. I never claimed this was the only blog to have ever done this, I just said the show gets almost zero scrutiny, which is true. Scattered blogs don’t always amount to a ton of scrutiny.

I’ve actually seen some of those sites and they’re great, especially the Liquidgeneration video where dude goes around like a TV reporter in Chicago. We’ll have an “actual entertaining video” on the site later today, so check back then…

    Comment by John Wenzel — August 8, 2006 @ 2:02 pm

  89. John,

I never said that you claimed to be the first one to do this, if anything I was only trying to defend you guys to a certain degree. If anything, you could get more photos of the house and maybe even get someone inside, you never know.

Not sure if there’s anyway to fix this, short of weatherproofing it and putting it on the balcony. Looks like it might be inoperational at night… just FYI. Apologies!
